Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta, LLC strictly prohibits the use of unmanned aerial vehicles (“UAVs”), also known as drones, for any purpose at the Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta facility.
A UAV is defined as any aircraft without a human pilot aboard. Under Georgia House Bill 58, it is unlawful to operate an unmanned aircraft system within 400 feet of or above an entertainment event. Any person who violates this law is guilty of the unauthorized operation of an unmanned aircraft system and shall be punished as for a misdemeanor.
Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta personnel may remove any individual found operating a UAV at the facility, and the UAV may be confiscated until the conclusion of the event. Violators are subject to prosecution under Georgia law in addition to removal and confiscation.
